Decluttering or downsizing (eliminating items from the home environment)
Making changes to behaviors that lead to disorganization (such as overshopping, overscheduling, or rigid mindsets about discards)
Implementing maintenance strategies (such as time limits, spatial limits, or volume limits)
Prioritizing efficiency over perfection when it comes to discarding items
In order to have the best chance of success, client agrees to:
Commit to scheduled sessions and avoid rescheduling except in cases of illness or emergency
Minimize distractions by having a plan for childcare and petcare, and not scheduling other commitments during sessions
Be willing to try organizer’s suggestions if at all possible
Try solutions/interventions for a few weeks before changing course
So Simple Organization understands that change is difficult and will work to support clients during this journey.
