Wondering what to expect when you work with So Simple Organization? We’ve included some information about our most asked about policies below. For more details, please see our client agreement.


Health and safety

The health and safety of our clients and organizers is our top priority. Here are some of the ways we aim to promote health and safety for everyone:

COVID-19 and other illnesses

All organizers are fully vaccinated and will wear masks upon client request.

If you (or any members of your household) have experienced symptoms of illness, tested positive for COVID-19 or another illness, or believe you have been exposed to illness, please call/text 415-637-0623 to reschedule your organizing session with no penalty.

So Simple Organization reserves the right to reschedule sessions at any time if the organizer is ill or has been exposed to illness. We will notify the client as soon as possible.

Footwear

Organizers will wear shoes at all times while working. Shoe covers may be worn at the client’s request if it is safe to do so.

Hazardous conditions

So Simple Organization does not remediate or do organizing work in the presence of hazardous conditions, such as animal droppings/waste, mold, insect infested areas, etc. Hazardous conditions must be remediated before organizing work can begin.

Scope of services

So Simple Organization provides the following professional home organizing services:

  • Helping clients decide which items to keep or discard

  • Planning/designing spaces to help clients store and use their belongings more effectively

  • Advising clients on how to discard various items

  • Providing recommendations and/or shopping for organizing products

  • Assisting clients with dropping off donations (please see “donations” section below for more details)

  • Assisting clients with selling unwanted items

  • Packing or unpacking for a move

We do NOT provide the following services:

  • House cleaning

  • Remediating hazardous conditions (such as insect infestations, animal droppings, mold, etc.)

  • Trash hauling

  • Assembling or installing storage furniture

Service area

We provide in-person organizing services in Allegheny County and Washington County, PA. Clients outside of these service areas will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Donation drop-offs

Free donation drop-offs included with sessions will be taken to City Mission or Goodwill. Only items in good condition accepted by these organizations (such as clothing and household items) will be taken for drop-offs.

Clients may have donations delivered to an organization of their choice for a fee of $25 per organization and per carload. Organizations must be located in Allegheny County or Washington County, PA, and have regular drop-off hours.

Code of Ethics

So Simple Organization is a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing professionals (NAPO) and bound by its Code of Ethics. All information shared during organizing sessions is completely confidential and will not be shared with outside parties, unless required by law. We will not share client names, personal information, or project photos without client permission.

Gifts and donations

So Simple Organization does not accept gifts or take discarded items from clients for personal use. All items removed from a client’s home will be donated, recycled, or otherwise disposed of as agreed upon.

Booking, cancelling, and rescheduling sessions

A session deposit is required at the time of scheduling for hourly-rate organizing. The remainder will be collected at the organizing session. Please see our Pricing page for current session pricing. We accept cash, check, credit card, PayPal, or Venmo.

Sessions may be rescheduled up to 48 hours in advance, free of charge. Deposits for sessions rescheduled less than 48 hours in advance will not be refunded, with the exception of illness or true emergencies.

For sessions cancelled 48 hours or more in advance, 50% of deposit fee will be refunded. Deposit fees for sessions cancelled less than 48 hours in advance will not be refunded.
